Personally own. I use a schiit stack on my computer. I often must be hearing things when I play fps that my friends with regular headsets don't hear.

I have these. They're very nice, I swap from Audio Technicas ATH-AD900x and these. At this price point I'd say this is an instabuy if you're in the market for good headphones that won't break the bank. They are easy to power so amp/dac not needed. My set up is a Schitt Stack.

Been looking at these for a while and at this price, seems like a no-brainer, but I'm wondering if they require higher quality audio files to listen to?

Playing games, watching Twitch / Netflix, listening to music etc while I WFH . . . wondering if I'll be using these the way they're intended?

TIA

I'd really recommend a set for audio and set for gaming. Based on what you do more buy for that. Sheer convenience and audio quality and built-in mic I'm very happy with these: https://slickdeals.net/f/15417118-drop-sennheiser-pc38x-gaming-headset-119-00-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Dont need an amp and such either. But I listen to music with speakers mostly, and game with a headset for comm's.

Thanks.I have a pair of Corsair VOID Pro's but I rarely game with a mic (mostly TFT).

Also have some Sony XM3's for work travel (awesome NFC).

Just wasn't sure if these would make music and movies that much more enjoyable. Ty, seems like a marginal improvement. Speakers are the ultimately convenience anyway lol

Man those Corsair's are so bad compared to these ones lol I gave them to my 8yo son the moment I grabbed a cheap topping dac amp and these ones from a drop sale a couple years ago . Hey sometimes you are better off not trying honest truth cause once do .. at least I didn't wanna go back to them and I was out 130 lol

Most folks buying these use them for gaming and music I mean they are not pro studio monitoring cans or anything so I would say your use case is right on the money but you may need to grab a decent / cheapish dac amp

I got a pair during the previous deal. The looks are not that great and honestly feel very cheap, but the sound quality is on par with headphones 2 or 3 times the price.
Plugged into the good old ES-100, they're now my preferred on-the-go headphones.

How does this compare to Fidelio X2HR? I mostly listen to pop, ballad, with a bit of rock here and there.

I game too but not heavily.

If you care more for an open headphone where the sound leaks and you could hear the background. Prefer Soundstage with some decent bass then 2hr is for you. The headphone itself is more comfortable but they are heavier than the 58x. For me though, both of them provide a different experience that I enjoy when I'm listening to music. Sometimes you want the clarity, light bass, and sort of detail in music, you go for the 58x. But there's times you like to feel the surround sound effect from the soundstage giving you the directional effect for your music, you choose the other. I have both and like them for what they do and when I prefer to use them. For the music you asked about, both would be good. The 2hr is better for gaming because of the soundstage. An amp would make both better too.

Personally own these headphones. They are an instant buy that this price point. Excellent sound and comfort. Tried so many different headphones but these are the bread winner!
