Yes you can but it is still silly buying a physical copy so you can wait to play a game. I'm not against it buying it. I'm a game hoarder/collector so I bought it not to play. But for people who don't. You're buying a physical game to hold while you will download the other 90% and will require the game cart to play afterward.
Internet is required SOLELY for multiplayers; not the aforementioned modes.
For vast majority (NOT redbum obviously), this is enough. Silly to say this is no bueno cuz it is not a complete game.
Yes, the note on the front cover of the game said internet required for download or whatever the verbiage is and I agree it rather confusing to believe that it subject to be a incomplete game but that not what the game actually intended to be.
