Just FYI...

several threads on these... if you have a grandfathered plan, you can add these cameras. If not grandfathered, storage for XT2 is via subscription - the later versions can save via to Module 2 and forgo subscription for storage.

For what its worth, I got the 2 for $20 deal last week for the indoor cams, selected "used acceptable" and got four cameras still sealed in the box in perfect condition

Someone posted this on an earlier thread regarding the xt2 and subscription. So basically any xt, xt2 and 1st gen indoor will have free cloud storage. It doesn't matter when the account is created.

This user recently created a new account and received free cloud storage.

That's not true, 7200 seconds free cloud storage for any xt2 or older cameras whenever the account was created, grandfathered accounts let you add newer cameras to that 7200 seconds.
Once you hit 7200 seconds, you must delete older videos to make the room for new videos?

Is it 7200secs per camera or account?

I got 3 used add-on cameras before they sold out.
All look and work great.
Now I have 8 cameras.
3 for $39. Wow!

Blink XT2 for sure.

Wyze only records 12 second clips for free to the cloud with a 5 minute cool down period in between. You'll need to subscribe to their monthly service for longer clips and no cool down period. You can also use a microsd card to view the entire video clip, but it won't be uploaded to cloud only the 12 second clip will.

Wyze Cam v3 can record nonstop motion, but only with the optional Cam Plus service.
Without that service, there will be the standard 5-minute "cooldown" period between similar* event videos that are stored in the cloud. This means that when there is continuous motion, the camera will only capture one 12-second event video every five minutes.

I have these and an indoor Wyse and some indoor 2k Eufy, the Eufy had the best camera color camera quality, the new v3 wise has the best night vision, these older XT2 are good for indoor and outdoor, run off replaceable lithium batteries, and cost 16.60 a piece and present the best value. Has 1080p camera decent night vision and the two-way is more responsive than my Eufy's. Not a lot to do in the settings on the app, but as a basic system, there are no other competitors for 50 bucks you would need to go up about another 100 bucks for a Eufy 3 camera setup. I've bought 3 of these for 50 bucks a pop. All of them were new in the box, even though they said user acceptable lol. Pair it with one of those $50 google displays and you got yourself a nice system that not on a monthly fee from ADT, Ring or other video surveillance service for only 100 bucks.

When storage fills, the oldest recordings start being auto-deleted. The 7200 seconds is per account

Will it not work at all with alkaline AA batteries? Or do those not give 2 year life? I have a ton of duracell alkaline AA from OD so wondering if I can use them

Looking for a basic, easy to use camera system for my parents who are terrible with electronics. Is this easy to setup to view with an iPad and is a subscription service required? Thanks!

Yes. This blink stuff is dumb as possible for the average Amazon customer.

Perfect. I have some amcrest cameras right now that have connection issues and also require running wires for power. Don't want to drill holes and run wires in the walls. Need these to be as idiot proof as possible because I don't want to have to mess around much.

It's per sync module. Each sync module will get 7200 seconds for whatever amount of cameras you have assigned to them. The older videos will delete automatically when you hit the limit or you can delete them on your own.

I am currently using Alkaline batteries in my Blink cameras and plan on replacing them soon with Lithium for battery life, but yes they will work with Alkaline.

I have a sync module that stores video on a usb drive, would these cameras work with that sync module? Thanks
