Just FYI...

several threads on these... if you have a grandfathered plan, you can add these cameras. If not grandfathered, storage for XT2 is via subscription - the later versions can save via to Module 2 and forgo subscription for storage.

For what its worth, I got the 2 for $20 deal last week for the indoor cams, selected "used acceptable" and got four cameras still sealed in the box in perfect condition

Someone posted this on an earlier thread regarding the xt2 and subscription. So basically any xt, xt2 and 1st gen indoor will have free cloud storage. It doesn't matter when the account is created.

Good deal! I bought 3 XT2 with module. It works great with cloud storage after I installed them. Since then, I added two more Blink minis. However, it added me to a Plus plan (free trial for 30 days). I got a couple of questions.

1) If I remove the minis from the system, will I get back my free cloud storage?
2) Plan B in case I don't get back my free cloud storage. I'm thinking to purchase another set of XT2 with module. Remove the existing XT2 from the existing system, and add them to the newly setup system so that I'll have free cloud storage. Then Let the minis continue to run on the existing system with local storage, or for on demand use only. Is it going to work?

I ordered the three pack and paid $59 total after shipping (I don't have prime anymore). I ordered Sunday morning at 7am and received them today (Tuesday) around 9am. So two day shipping. And they didn't come sealed but the cameras look brand new and had the plastic protectors still on them. Pretty good deal. I plan on getting the smart doorbell too since it's $35 on a couple sites. Easy setup and no hardwiring

That's right. You'd need network redundancy. There are "dual WAN" routers that allow a connection to your ISP's cable modem and a 2nd connection to an LTE hotspot. If one or the other goes down then you're still good. This only solves part of your concern. Your ISP or hotspot could be online, but if someone was deliberately jamming your WIFI signal then your Blink cameras are useless since they won't be able to communicate wirelessly to your router... and they only work on 2.4 GHz WiFi, which is prone to interference. Some microwave ovens and cordless phones can even disconnect it. A surveillance camera system or CCTV that records locally is better in this case (or as a redundant system working in parallel with the Blink cameras).

I got my 3-camera kit yesterday. Stickers were still on it and it *appears*, as far as I can tell, that everything is brand new. So maybe this is them clearing out a good amount of unopened old stock?

That is a Sync Module 1. The 2 has white sides. As I suggested in a previous post, I believe the Woot listing is in error to suggest the version 2 sync module is included. I've ordered 3 sets and they all came with version 1. If you are just using XT2 cameras, it doesn't really matter because they do not support local USB storage at all (even with the version 2 module).
