I'd cancelled my membership a week and a half ago and was eligible for this deal today.
Signed up, $20 credit immediately posted to my account. Shows in the top bar beside credits as "Coupon balance: $20.00"
Will come in very handy with their regular $5, $6, $7 audiobook sales. I did add a test audiobook to my cart, value under $20, and at checkout it applied the coupon for the full value of the audiobook, $13.22 in this case. Was hoping it wouldn't have a catch attached like 'only applicable on items over $20.' Pleased that it did not.
FANTASTIC!
I got the email but deleted it when I read the details that it was only for new members.
I haven't been an active member for over a year due to the much cheaper CHIRP books but this reminded me of the deal so I tried it.
It allowed me to sign up cheaply to Audible for 3 months with a $20 credit and a free audio book for each of the next 3 months at only $5.95.
The first free book credit and the $20 credit showed up within minutes of accepting this deal!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas !
Wow! I think this is the best one I have seen yet. Hopefully we will see more of this! Or lower membership in general.

Does the purchase of 3 credits apply the coupon. Want to make sure that it will take it off the credits as it is not clear during the checkout process
Actually, I just tried again and I misread the information. I saw the word credit and assumed it was the price after the coupon. I was wrong, its not clear the coupon would apply. Quite possibly it will not.
I saw this deal advertised in the app (Android) but when I clicked on it I got a "promo code invalid." However, I opened a chat with Audible and "Stacy-Ann" was nice enough to get me a link that allowed me to get this offer. Now, let's hope they have a sale in time for me to blow through this $20 coupon
Nice deal! Anyone that watched Dopesick on hulu - Beth Macy the author narrates the Audiobook version.
And, the prequel to Dopesick Finding Tess is a part of the Premium Plus catalog & only available on Audible so you can listen for free with Premium Plus. Such a good listen, only about 5 hrs. She narrates & there's is actual audio from her time interviewing Tess & her family, friends for the years she fought fighting her addiction. 😀
I signed up for this after getting an email for it. Unlike some others on here I don't see a $20 coupon. Did you get an email you had to click on to get the coupon or does it show somewhere in your account? I added a book to my cart to check and it still doesn't show the coupon.
EDIT: I went back and reread the fine print and it says the $20 coupon/credit can take up till 48 hours to show in the account so I'll have to check back then.
Looks like this is a huge YMMV. Should state in title.
Wake me up when audible becomes Netflix of audiobooks!
I couldn't agree more! Their business model of buying one book a month for even $6 is over priced in a stream-as-much-as-you-like world, but still this is a great deal and I couldn't pass it up.

Then I was able to use the Panera deal, even without a Panera account
Holy crap. I tried using that code in the Audible app and it didn't work, BUT it worked thru this link! Seems like a slightly better deal than the OP deal, especially if we stick with it. I couldn't manage to get OP deal to work in-app or in-browser, but this Panera promo does.
Good work, repped!
Glad I slept on the 1-free-month offer they sent me earlier this week.

Keep in mind you will not be getting the 1 credit per month with the panera promo. I'm thinking most people use the trial for the credits. I have a panera account but decided the op promo is better.
