I'd cancelled my membership a week and a half ago and was eligible for this deal today.
Signed up, $20 credit immediately posted to my account. Shows in the top bar beside credits as "Coupon balance: $20.00"
Will come in very handy with their regular $5, $6, $7 audiobook sales. I did add a test audiobook to my cart, value under $20, and at checkout it applied the coupon for the full value of the audiobook, $13.22 in this case. Was hoping it wouldn't have a catch attached like 'only applicable on items over $20.' Pleased that it did not.
FANTASTIC!
I got the email but deleted it when I read the details that it was only for new members.
I haven't been an active member for over a year due to the much cheaper CHIRP books but this reminded me of the deal so I tried it.
It allowed me to sign up cheaply to Audible for 3 months with a $20 credit and a free audio book for each of the next 3 months at only $5.95.
The first free book credit and the $20 credit showed up within minutes of accepting this deal!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas !
Wow! I think this is the best one I have seen yet. Hopefully we will see more of this! Or lower membership in general.

Chatted w/ support re: using the $20 promo for the 3-credit pack. They said promotional balances can only be applied to audiobook purchases. Checked in my account and there's no way to apply the credit to the 3 pack.
My membership expired last year and this deal worked for me. You also have the option to buy an extra 3 credits for $35.88 and apply the $20 credit towards it, so it comes down to $11.96.
You can then basically get 6 credits for 5.95+5.95+5.95+11.96=$29.81. if you extrapolate - or open two accounts - that's $59.62 for 12 credits, which is much better than the other $89/year deal (which was already a killer deal!)
Apparently, I can't do math this morning. I misread the information on the screen, the $20 would bring it 3-credit price down to $15.88, but doesn't look like you can actually apply it towards it.
Did you test out buying the 3 credits and realize afterwards it didnt let you apply the $20 credit, or are basing this off of the checkout screen?
I'm curious if the people who were denied this offer are Prime members. I still haven't received my $20 credit so I tried signing off and back on again to see if it would show. When I was signed off the offer popped up on the main screen, but it says at the top it is an exclusive offer for Prime members. So maybe you can't get the offer because you're not a Prime member? Either way I'm the only one I know who got the offer, got charged the right price for the offer, but still hasn't seen the $20 credit. And I am a Prime member who received the offer through an email.
I also got the offer but no $20 credit. I hope it shows up.

I had to ultimately contact customer service. I explained I received an email with the offer. He then put me on hold for what seemed like forever. When he came back on he said he applied a $20 credit and I had one month to use it. I used it to purchase 4 books from the $5 Black Friday sale.
Nice deal! Anyone that watched Dopesick on hulu - Beth Macy the author narrates the Audiobook version.
And, the prequel to Dopesick Finding Tess is a part of the Premium Plus catalog & only available on Audible so you can listen for free with Premium Plus. Such a good listen, only about 5 hrs. She narrates & there's is actual audio from her time interviewing Tess & her family, friends for the years she fought fighting her addiction. 😀
How do you get Finding Tess for free… I signed up for Premium Plus @ $5.95 a month but Finding Tess required 1 Credit.
It was free to listen to maybe a week ago. The plus catalog is free to listen to but rotates weekly and once your membership ends you lose access to those titles.
I still have the free 30-day Premium Plus trial for Prime Members which gives me 2 credits. Since the $20 coupon is gone now (I don't see it), it seems that regular trial is still better than the $5.95 per month deal for 3-months which would apparently only generate 3 credits (one per month)..........2 Credits and 30 days = $0.00 or 3 Credits and 90 days = $17.85 plus tax. Am I missing something?
I just contacted Audible support through chat about the missing $20 credit and they informed me that it was a promotion for only 11/18-11/24. So that's why we didn't get it. but the rep was really nice and gave me the $20 credit anyways. So you can try and might get lucky.
