Can you give me the link to the echo dot 3rd generation bundle?
I used the link from the post and the bundles showed up in the Amazon app for me. Didn't have to add a separate thing to my cart or use another link. Hope this helps

Wonder how many people like myself would have otherwise bought instantly at launch if not for this terrible design decision. This is literally the only smart doorbell by any manufacturer I've ever seen that purposely won't use your existing chime. The product managers in charge of that decision sure must've been smoking something.

you really don't need your existing chime if you get the echo dot and ring wired doorbell bundle because the echo dot it will act as a chime box with different chimes to choose from.
I just switched from a Ring doorbell to Nest. For those in the market, the Nest costs more upfront but you get more free features without any subscription. Without a subscription on Nest I can set activity zones, do person and package alerts, and you get 3 hours of video alert playback for free. Getting an alert that a package was left on my stoop is infinitely more useful than hearing the Nest Chime every time the bushes blow in the wind. I have "motion" alerts turned off completely and only get person and package alerts. The ring was motion only, no smart alerts, and only a still image in the alert history.

Yes, you need a Ring with a built-in battery in order for it to be able to sound your existing doorbell.
