I thought that too when I purchased my 2015 iPad 12.9. But you get used to it quickly and then of course after a while every other tablet looks too small. This time of year there's no reason not to try the larger one out and easily return if you don't like. You have to use it for a while. But I could never do the 11 inch one now. (Twss)

Hard telling. I've been watching both for awhile. Best I've seen for the 11" was from Costco for $700. With the chip shortages going on, I didn't want to take any chances

I thought about it bc I wanted the better screen but went with 11 pro. Couldn't be happier. 13 inches is WAY too big for tablet. It's too big and heavy to hold for any period of time

Agreed, the 12.9 is more for if you are going to treat it as a laptop (with a keyboard case of some kind), with occasionally using it as a tablet. I use my 11" Pro with the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard as a laptop and as a tablet about equally, and it works great for both.

If you are trying to decide between the 11 and 12.9 I HIGHLY recommend you go to an Apple store or somewhere else where you can handle them in person before buying. As soon as I handled the 12.9 I knew it wasn't the one for me, although it is no doubt great for other people.

$90 savings over standard apple vet discount. Not too shabby. I love my 12.9 (miniled bloom and all).

12.9 is a better couch companion while the 11 inch is for carrying all over.

Will this deal last through BF? I get an additional 10% the first day I use my Star card and was hoping to pick some things up Black Friday.

Next year Samsung drops some impressive Tablets (not as powerful but WAY better OLED screens) and Apple retailers will discount like they always have for the past 3 to 4 years.

Galaxy Tab 8 + Ultra

That being said this Pro (I own it) is fantastic.

RAM is lower 8gb vs 16 in the 1tb and 2 TB models but performance difference is negligible.

Have to agree with some of the posters in this thread. There's a substantial difference between the 11" and the 12.9". For my needs (digital painting, editing and reading ebooks) it's incredible but it's a little bit unwieldy and I cannot imagine using it on the go. I have the 2nd gen iPad Pro so the weight and dimensions are probably different but I recommend handling both prior to purchasing if you can.

What are your thoughts on digital painting and editing? I bought this and an apple pencil 2nd gen primarily for my daughter who is very artistic and wants to get into digital art/video editing. She doesn't plan on carrying it around very much
