Say 10 years from now Nintendo pulls this from the eShop and you need to redownload. Then what? Another matter of concern is reselling the game when you are done with it. You need to sell a partial game, because the company decided to be scummy. That hurts the resale value of your game.
That said, I bought a copy, and I'm looking forward to it lol.

Also thumbs up to the thread if it's the best deal out there for switch owners

I can kind of understand on bundles like the Borderlands games which would most likely require 3 cartridges as opposed to one. Having 3 cartridges would increase the consumer. Now the bundle costs $30-35 as opposed to $20 but you own physical copies. There is a obvious tradeoff.
On the flip side; are you really going to be selling Doom 64 years down the line or still playing that title when the Switch estore is taken down in 2030? They closed the Wii Shop Channel after 13 years which is a pretty long run for any consumer technology support. Also, for any Switch physical game which requires a download to complete, those will also not work after Nintendo sunsets the Switch online service making those games unplayable.
Now, if Radio Shack ever stops support for their Tandy series of IBM compatible personal computers.....heads will roll!
