Editors - feel free to consolidate this info into the post by bennycast on the SN750 SE - the deal described herein is a further improvement on that deal specific to Newegg and the 1TB version for the dates Nov 26 and 27.

Newegg's Black Friday Flyer (second link below) indicates there will be a further $5 reduction in this already good deal for Nov 26 and 27 - see the front cover (lower left hand side) of the Black Friday Flyer. So if you want to pay $95 rather than $100 for the 1TB version, order on one of those days... Be interesting to see if others respond.

Correction: 11/23/21
If you have the EDU discount, Samsung.com has the Standard 980 (PCI3) at 94.99 with free shipping. 3500/3000 read/write. Thanks to the below for correcting the model.

Totally agreed. PCIe 3.0. Wish it were 4.0.

Bought this on Thursday for this price at WD.com.

Outstanding deal for PCIe Gen4 storage at both sites!

Plus free USB stick and Two day shipping today. Unfortunately I bought too soon to get the free USB.

Get into the action fast with sequential read speeds up to 3,600 MB/s (1TB model) to boost system, game and level load times.
Demolish the competition with PCIe Gen4 storage (backwards compatible with PCIe Gen3).
The WD_BLACK Dashboard helps you maintain drive health and enable gaming mode to help sustain maxed-out performance.
Available in capacities ranging from 250GB - 1TB for storing the latest games and future updates.
Game longer before your next recharge with up to 30% less power consumption than its predecessor.
BTW/ was on the fence between this, Sammmy 980, and Corsair 1TB at BB.

I had a minor issue with an early release of the 980 but nothing to write home about. I could not find many reviews on the Corsair. Might be great stuff!
