OP's is CM305 and this is a CM401. Does anyone have any idea what the different model numbers mean? I tried to dig into it but left more confused. They have glass and thermal carafe variations, then there is an iced and a non iced coffee version, but the non iced coffee version also makes iced coffee. On top of that I think some stores are still selling an older model? And they all look the same? Their website makes it easy to compare but they don't have all of the models. Like if you search CM305 it says no results found. Surrender 2

The most obvious difference will be Brew Styles. CM305 has only 3 options but CM401 allows you to brew specialty. However, I don't own the maker and I can't tell if specialty is special. You change search youtube on the review of these maker.

Also 401 has glass and 305 has aluminum pot. You hit glass pot once against your countertop... And you need to buy new coffeemaker. On the good side, you can see the amount of coffee in it with the glass one.

I get that but for example what's the difference between the CM301, CM305, and CM307? What happened to CM303? It's just that these models have all hovered around this price at one point or another but no one seems to know the differences (or even if there are any). I've been in the market for a Ninja Coffee maker for a few months now but haven't been able to confidently pull the trigger.

CM305 is a watered-down version of the CM401, It doesn't have a specialty brew function which is a concentrated coffee brew you can use for lattes, cappuccinos, or iced specialty drinks. Also, there is no foldaway frother. Honestly the majority of the time you will select classic brew for coffee. This is imo the best deal because it comes with a thermal carafe. Im not a fan of the hotplate because it burns coffee after 30 minutes. This is a great deal.

No espresso feature in CM401 or CM305. Specialty brew is not espresso. If you care for it…
