If this is really version 2 of the clip like the item name says, it should be compatible with both Xbox One and newer Series S/X controllers. But the description is really unclear.

These are way better than the generic $10ish ones on Amazon. That second joint allows you to position the device over the controller instead of hanging off the top. Makes things more balanced and less fatigue on the wrists.

Went to the Amz page for the 2.0 and it has "Xbox series x" in the title of the listing itself. Bout to dive into reviews

Edit: pics show it in new controllers but all the reviews and pics of broken parts scared me off.

It depends on the game. I want to use it to play the FFVII Fortnite game, which supports XBOX controllers via Bluetooth.

I did a quick search for that game and it supports all Xbox controllers, but you can't change the button layout, only stick sensitivity. I hope that helps!

It says it fits phones up to 79mm wide.

13 pro max is 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.7 mm.

So... In theory, just barely. It should work. Likely won't be able to fit it with a case.
