Not about speed. These lay a cleaner bead as well as saving your hand/elbow. The bathroom I finished is not large. Still probably amounted to 500 squeezes on the gun.

-EDIT- I just saw the several other responses. Didn't mean to pile on! It is worth noting the consistent bead though. If you've ever replaced a windshield, and tried running that thick urethane manually, the relative inconsistency you can lay in a bead is really apparent.

If you keep the rotary tool and experience vibration, I recommend ditching the provided collet for parts from a specialized brand like Dremel. I found the Milwaukee accessories machined less well, resulting in more wobble.

Want the caulk gun, but don't need the rotary and battery. I also have a $20 off $200 coupon, so I can get this for $188... do good deals regularly pop up on the caulk gun?

Looks like $110 is the best on SD recently, and I don't see a lot of posts for it.

I'd suggest you part it out. I sell a 6 amp battery on FB for $70, and they go fast. You could probably get $40 for the rotary easily (I'd pay that for it).

How much would you sell a fuel hackzall for? Bare tool?

Seriously, what am I missing? My $15 caulk gun applies caulk as fast as I want it to?

For me I have issues with grip, but even if I didn't the time I saved doing my entire house it paid for its self. At the time I used one that had to be used with air compressor ~$25 at the time the electric ones were $250+.
If I could get it for around 100 I'd pay the extra money to have it be battery operated so I don't have to use a hand crank/ drag a compressor and house through the house.

May I ask how you get a $20 off $200 coupon and is it in stores only?

It's not about speed. It's about consistency and endurance., and yes, the 15 dollar one is way better than the 5 dollar one.

the explanation is that basically every time you squeeze it builds up pressure. when you release the pressure drops until you squeeze again, thus creating a ripple effect.

I have the caulking gun and it's good, but pretty bulky. You probably won't use it for small tasks, it's also pretty hard to get a consistent bead going with softer caulkings. The gun excels with denser product where neatness and precision are not as crucial. I use it for roofing caulking, concrete patch, gutter caulking etc.

Never used their rotary tool, but I really want one so might get it for that alone and sell the gun. (If anyone in Seattle area wants to split it, I'd be open to it)
