Oof, you got me! Poor software engineering companies, always in danger. Antivirus software should teach them a thing or too!

There's a reason that people who write software keep telling you this, and it's not because they don't know their computers.
No one said a software engineering firm. LMAO They're usually better at their security. But like I said, keep spreading that information.

I don't have it handy, but it wasn't more than a handful of years ago when even Microsoft said Defender was a just good starting point and recommended layering something on top of it. Their own A/V was identifying (a competitive browser) Firefox as a virus. Yes, this was years ago... and yes, things change over time, but...

Confirming that you can use no-rush credits on the digital download version of this. Just cut the cost in nearly half for me.

Thanks.

Is there a way to turn off the pop-up windows that keep happening almost every day all year long?

I like Norton 360 otherwise, but the pop-ups are SO ANNOYING!
Yes, there is, You need to turn OFF Special Offer Notification. Just click on to Device Security then go to Settings -> Administrative Settings then scroll down to Special Offer Notifications to turn it off. Don't forget to click on Apply.

Last time I renewed with Norton directly, I paid $24.99 with tax and apparently got more than 12 months.s
Is that for one device? I saw the same offer but they didn't specify the number of devices so I balked.

So does it matter on getting the extensions by buying multiple products if it is the download key or the Physical key card? I wouldn't think it would but is someone has experience either way please let me know. I think it would just be easier to keep track of digital keys via amazon digital account. and or Email vs a key card that you have to reminder where you put it after a year.
Norton is weird when buying these keys from 3rd party sellers (newegg, amazon). They want us paying the full auto reweal price (never!)

Before when you would add your new license, it would replace the current license. So if you had 100 days left, it wouldn't add 365 more days, but 365 total.

Way around that was to contact chat and have them do it manually. They would then merge the license to your current one

You are the bread and butter of my employment. Cheers! We just finished an 8 day fiasco with an engineering firm that their IT guy said the exact same thing.
We use Sophos as a nonprofit enterprise.

So if my current subscription expires in January but I buy this now, should I wait until January and then chat with Norton to get an additional year added on to my existing subscription? Do I need to uninstall my current Norton 360 Deluxe before I chat with them?

No on all questions. Their support team will just add the time to your current license -or- they'll have you register your new license through norton.com and then merge both licenses to your current one. The only time they do not allow it is if you're downgrading like going from a 10 device license to a 5 device.

You don't need 3rd party antivirus in 2021. Just use Windows Defender and that's it. Seriously - Microsoft Defender is even a good Mac endpoint protection option for the enterprise market these days. Microsoft is doing a great job at providing something that's good, free, built in, and never gets in your way. Practice basic internet hygiene, and you're all set.

Edit: don't take it from me, take it from reddit! https://www.google.com/search?q=d...reddit.com
I agree, MS Defender is actually pretty good. However this software also includes a VPN subscription, Cloud backup and "Dark Web" monitoring.

But to rebuff if you are savvy you could get those last 3 free/pretty cheap. You can probably find a cheaper VPN on sale right now. For cloud backup you can create free MS OneDrive account or Google Drive, they give you a few gigs free and I've had "Dark Web" monitoring/ID theft monitoring for free for a while -- all those big corporations that had their data leak they often give out free monitoring to their customers who were affected, for example i think I got free ID theft monitoring as part of the Experian data leak and I got it again a few months ago when my personal bank got a data leak.

Just make sure you have digital credits from no-rush shipping. Then change the version from the keycard version to the digital download version. Your credits should automatically apply (if you have any).

Thanks. Took a few tries for the NR credits to apply.
