I've outfittet numerous homes completely with Caseta dimmers and switches. The only time these flicker are when the load is less than ~20W. Once you have three LED lights on it, they don't flicker anymore. And, never had a problem with lights that are not on the Lutron compatibility list as long as the light manufacturer says it is dimmable.

You either need to buy the Caseta switch (not dimmer), the ELV dimmer, or the capacitor. The ELV switch is expensive at $100, but the capacitor needs some space in your box, which can be very tough if it's small and you're already fitting in all wireless switches/dimmer into it.

BTW, these Lutron Caseta products are always cheaper on eBay. As long as you buy new, I have never had even a single one bought off eBay go bad over the years. Ive bought hundreds (maybe close to a thousand) so far.
Or, Home Depot. In-store bulk pricing for Lutron dimmers in my area is $38 if you buy 3+.

I've read that can happen if you only have one LED on a switch which doesn't create enough of a load (I'm not an electrician). Lutron also makes a capacitor to fix this issue.

Lutron caseta systems are awesome, in two years of ownership, I have not had to do a single thing after the initial set up. No resetting the bridge, no resetting any device, no Wi-Fi issues, it all works wonderfully. I have it integrated with Apple HomeKit, and Google home. HomeKit works a little better because you can say things like. Lights to 75%, fan to 50%. Google voice commands seem to only allow on/off.
With the pico remote, it allows this system to Replace a three way switch. I prefer physical switches for turning lights on and off, so this is much better than any Wi-Fi lightbulb in my opinion, with my family of various ages.

It appears these kits contain the non-neutral switches which are great for those without neutrals in the box.

However I've read the non-neutral switches cause flicker with LED bulbs. Anyone able to confirm?

I've had many of these working with assorted LED bulbs in my home for a couple years now. These and Hue are "install and forget" products for me. They work well and are super reliable - no tinkering or periodic troubleshooting necessary.

Lutron has an extensive and detailed compatibility list for LED bulbs on their website. I've found many bulbs NOT on the list still work, but there may be limited dimming range or other caveats.

Edit: compatibility tool - https://www.lutron.com/en-US/page...ility.aspx

If you need a setup without a neutral wire this is what to get. If you have neutral wires You may want start with some tp-link wifi switches that can be had for like $15-$20 on sale. At my old house I had tp-link switches and had zero issues with them and was able to outfit my home for a fraction of the price of lutron hardware.

I'm in the Lutron system now though as new house as old wiring so I'm just waiting for deals on stand alone switches without the hub….

Don't these Lutron kits work even if you have a neutral wire? I thought these kits didn't require it so if you have it, it just gets capped off.

Yep - I have neutral wires at my house. Got caseta for most of the house, and just capped the neutral wire.

Thanks for confirming. I worried for a second that I wouldn't be able to use these 😅

Are the dimmers included the led pros?

Why? Neutral can only complete the circuit. New homes are all Arc fault (AFCI) so you need that neutral.

Shoot, I just bought a Used - Like New for $75 two days ago from Amazon Warehouse. Looks to be in perfect condition, but I would've paid $5 for extra peace of mind.

I've had these installed for 3 years and our house doesn't have a neutral. Have never had an issue with LED lights (multiple brands etc)

Thanks, I've been eyeing this for a while since my switches don't have neutrals. Have hue bulbs in a lot of places but picked up the deluxe kit for other locations.

Do you know if they have any legit 3 way switches with a carrier or does everyone cap that and just put a pico there?
