It's the same price on their web site, plus you get 10% off your first order with code EXTRA10
The code is given when you subscribe to their emails (I got a popup), but since it's generic it may work for all. And you get 5% off when paying with PayPal if you have a Chase Freedom card.

How can anonymous internet strangers who know absolutely nothing about you possibly answer this question for you? For instance, why are you thinking about getting a fitness band or what? Have you ever owned one in the past? Are you looking for just basic fitness-tracking or more advanced features?

we got one of these for my wife, and had to switch to a Amazfit BIP S
Reasons:
1) the band that comes with this is too big for her wrist and the substitute band we got had extra holes but the design was such that it was still not snug enugh to pick up her heart rate reliably
2) battery life - advertised 9-15 days seems to work out to 5 to 10 days and she was getting annoyed that it ran out when she did not check it. THe BIP S is at 67% with coninuous HR after 10 days
So, keep that in mind. Of course the apple watch needs to be charged daily so the short battery life may not be a deal breaker for many people, but the wrist size could be an issue for kids

Get it. It's a pretty good deal, and will help give the feedback that you need.

Sidenote: I highly recommend subscribing to Noom. It does a great job of teaching you to eat better without feeling invasive, overwhelming, or preachy. Remember, you can't outrun your stomach.

Good luck!

Unfortunately, the Amazfit 5 weighs in at about half an ounce, so you will be heavier when you have it on.

The Amazfit 6 is the model that is lighter than air, but they haven't released it yet because they had so many issues with them floating away in product testing.

Trying to determine if this will do blood oxygen while you sleep, or if that is only an on-demand function? Does anyone know?

You can use a third party app "Notify for Amazfit" and enable stress tracking and it will do it.
With that app it will definitely track oxygen continuously as long as stress tracking is turned on.

Edited this for clarity. I was mistaken, I have this exact band, and can confirm it works with that app.

What do you possibly need to know about a 9 year old, feed them, love them, let them play.

The strap would not fit them well and the screen size is a bit too long for their wrist. Teens might be okay if they have a larger wrist.

I won't buy another band/watch with that kind of strap. They're designed to fall off. Just get something with a traditional watch strap that will NEVER fall off.

Get one with a traditional watch strap. This will fall off and they'll lose it.

Well, at least my daughter (who is 8) would. She wears a Huawei Honor Band 4 and is pretty happy with it on her ankle. I also have one on my wrist. I love the one month battery.

This one was a bit of a dud for me. Had trouble staying connected to phone and getting notifications. Never could figure out how to get Alexa working on it. Had it for a year or so. Finally fell off outside the night before a snowstorm. Walked around for an hour trying to get it to connect to my phone, but it never did. Maybe I'll find it in the spring... Anyway, maybe I got a dud, but this didn't woke for me as well as my previous mi bands or amazefit bip

Got two of these last year for same price ($30 each).

Strap was too big for my wife, the FitBit versa fit better.

VO2 does not seem to happen automatically., when it os used it's not particularly accurate. I get a lot more 90% with this vs a dedicated unit which shows 98-99%.

Notice Kt less steps recorded with this vs FitBit Versa. Wore both for a few weeks and Amazfit 5 counted 10% less steps. Not sure which was more accurate but it felt nicer thinking I was getting more steps.

The PAI system is a good motivator for recording runs/bikes/etc but if you don't specifically record the run you don't seem to earn the points. I believe products like Apple Watch will notify "looks like you're working out, want to record it?" which could be helpful. It can be disappointing to record a 90 minute bike ride and still only show 2000 steps for the day.

App is decent but a little hard to navigate at first. When I go to end an exercise session the "End" button is In Chinese. Wasn't like that originally but I haven't figured out how to change it back.

Sleep tracking seems ok. Stress is also on-demand but I haven't dug too deep on it. I can usually tell if I am stressed anyway.

Buttonless touchscreen isn't very accurate which makes it hard to navigate, and any time I pick up my kids or put my arm around my spouse, pressing the screen against their skin, it vibrates and activates the "change screen template" and I have to swipe out of it.

Once you turn on the spO2 and other monitoring features the battery life is not 15 days. It was 5-7 days and now after a year it's 3-5 days depending on usage.

Notifications work but are annoying. Texts and call alerts come through ok. Calendar alerts (work meetings, birthdays, etc) will remind over and over again throughout the day, often well after event is done. You can clear notifications but navigation is not easy.

I swim with it on and never had issues with water other than it is impossible to use the screen when screen/fingers are damp.

Overall good, lots of features for the price. I use it all the time but am considering upgrading if I find something a bit more user friendly.
