From what I gather, 10th Gen i5s are too old in the tooth these days unless it is at a really killer price.

Other than brand, what's the biggest differences between this one and the one at Walmart?

The MSI has a Max-Q GPU which means it's slightly worse performance wise for the sake of energy efficiency. Just depends on if you want to use it mobile more or more plugged into the wall.

Same thing I got last year for 419 at Walmart. The thing didn't even last year but that wasn't a bad thing since HP replaced it with a way better unit.
