I live in a 2000 sq 3 storey house which has a lot of stairs so I'm not sure if a robot vacuum would be of any help since I'm assuming it's not going to come up and down the stairs. Does anyone have experience using this in a similar setting?
You need one for each level. I have a two story home and that was my solution.

Great deal...have been waiting for this. Thank you OP!

Roomba quality + Costco return warranty makes this no brainer deal IMO. Especially if this is your first robo vaccuum. Not to mention this is made by a company founded and headquartered in US.

One thing that I like about Roomba is their modular build and wide availability of replacement parts. I have a Roomba 980 that is well over 5 years old, and I've been able to replace many of its parts as they wear out over time.

local Costco has it for $699, not on sale. There is the i4 next to it for $300. Is it a much inferior model to i8 in terms of mapping and cleaning?

I have i8 from Costco, using it for six plus months, totally worth it. Excellent for pet hair imo

Planning to try robo vacuum and thought of i4 series that is on sale for 270$ at costco. I guess this VS i4 May not be comparable but is this model worth the additional 300$. Looking for a 2000 Sqft two level home with a toddler and no pets.
