It is much harder these days. I still believe that you get higher quality items made more locally.

That said Taiwan is better than China.

Really? Yes, I just looked and that is a shame. The Amazon specs still say "Country of Origin ‎USA." and the set I bought a couple years ago was made in the USA. Guess another tool was outsourced.

Girl, you have a keen eye for details.

I have been trying to purchase as many "Made in the USA" items as possible, so I'm always looking. Still, it is a nice price for a set that can come in handier than one would first think.

They are a small tipped set and don't think any of them are much over 3" in length, but when that is the size tip you need.

Yes, I am a bit of a nationalist, but geez, it is getting more difficult.

If 'made in USA' is less of a concern, I use these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KY6T...yp_imgToDp -- AvE recommended a while back and I have bought several sets since. I realize it's a different(ish) product, but if you're in the market i'd at least consider these.

Got these last year. They're solid quality and are a nice addition to my other Craftsman screw drivers.

It's a matter of personal preference, but I prefer the Craftsman to that style. Easier to grip and hold.

I'll never be able to see acetate handled Craftsman screwdrivers without hearing my dad's voice lecturing me about putting tools back where I found them

I suppose so, but it appears as if China is about to reunite with Taiwan and with this administration, probably the best time for them to do it like they recently completed with taking over Hong Kong in defiance of the Sino–British Joint Declaration.
"Reunite" ha! Who are the chicoms that would down vote this comment? In international affairs, country of origin is very important when making financial decisions. I've been looking at Wera, Wiha, and PB Swiss for this reason. Channel-lock makes jewelers size in torx for about the price of these craftsmen.

I don't see them costing more than that at Harbor Freight.
