Finally the prices have come back down. I just had to buy another 32gig for my rig. I know it's overload but I'm a photographer and love making Photoshop go through the ringer...LMAO

Thanks OP. Was in the market for some RAM for a DIY project that I will tackle during my PTO in December.

GSkill has always been rock solid for me. Repped.

Thanks and same here. This is my second go round with G.Skill and had no problem for 10 years with my last rig.

How do these compare to the corsair vengeance series? It's $5 more, but from Best Buy:

Here are the specs of the memory at Best Buy:

DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
Timing 16-20-20-38
CAS Latency 16
Voltage 1.35V

Good numbers, Corsair is a great name, a little slower in the Timing, 16-20-20-38 vs. 16-18-18-38. Does that mater a lot, not sure and in the real world, I don't think you would see any difference.

Also, it's cheaper at Newegg:

$105-$5 promo code = $100. [newegg.com] If there are no taxes in your states, Newegg might be the best price. I had to pay taxes here Frown

I would go with the 3200 with cas of 16. If I would do it all over again, I would buy that configuration. Reason why is my motherboard was defaulted at 3200. I had to download the newest version of the bios and over clock it to get the memory to 3600. Now, that is really no biggie but for people who are not confident with over clocking or changing settings in the bios, the easy thing to do is getting the 3200 with cas at 16.

Is there are real difference in speed? In the real world, not at all. You have to do some serious number crunching to see a difference and if would only be miner.

Wow, I understand. I looked up the prices for your memory and it's expensive, over $200 for another 16gig.

Now, 16gig vs 32gig is another question. I have been running 32gig for over 10 years on two computer and both ran without a hitch. At one point, I had to run 16gigs on my old computer and boy, did I see a difference. I could not run Lightroom and Photoshop at the same time without the computer bogging down. With 32gigs, my computers do not bog down at all, runs as smooth as silk.

So for intense work, I highly recommend 32gigs of ram. And at this price, you can buy 64gigs of ram for the same price as 16gigs of your old ram. nod

I could just pop in my other 16gb sticks if I needed 32gb. But they are a different brand and speed.

Hey OP, I need 64gb worth and do you know how this would do with a 3700x processor and a x470f gaming motherboard if using four sticks?
