G.Skill does not offer an advance replacement in 2022 so while they have a good warranty know that your system will be down for 2+ weeks to be able to take advantage of it.

I have their RAM and it has started failing (frequent memory errors but a mostly functional PC) after ~3 years and they have no option for doing an advance replacement. Almost every other company I came across supports this, thus, I am waiting for my new Corsair RAM to come in before I can continue with the G.Skill warranty.... I recommend supporting a company with a more consumer-friendly warranty policy.

Had observed similar issues lately with my 3600 C16 Hynix kit. Had to run at 3200 now to keep it stable.

Wish the Crucial Ballistix kit are still available at $90, they terminated the DDR4 line and the price of stock inventory has been rising

I agree, I had to deal with that issue myself. I will say though, six years after buying the ram, they did an exchange for me without question, and it took less than a week for them to send a new pair back to me.

It will fit as all desktop ram will fit, but the speed could be limited by your mothrboard. It may run at 2133mhz as most dell motherboards do not support XMP/DOCP (the overclocking feature that gives ram its marketed speed). I would call Dell tech support to find out what speed the ram will run on your motherboard.

That is sad to hear. I have gskill in all my pcs. Knock on wood never had to use the replacement. I guess ill be going with another company in the future. I can't be down for 2 weeks.

You could but don't. Mixing ram is always a bad idea.

Thanks, I just don't find the same model for sale anymore. I'll wait for similar spec one.

why not just buy four sticks of this and then sell your old ram? If they don't make the original ram you had you're unlikely to find truly matching ram

Okay pc pros. I plan on getting a new pc second half of the year after video cards have returned to normal prices and the next Gen stuff has come out. Will be perfectly happy with 12th Gen Intel, and a 3080. My question is should I wait for ddr5 memory?

fast ram, they used to perform top 95% percentile when i tested on Userbenchmark, not even OC. i bought two pairs in a 3 year time difference and they worked perfectly together. They are now about 2/3 price I bought them at. highly recommend
