But I ended up going with the Rotator 752 instead --

Besides being a little cheaper, it supposedly does better on carpets than the Apex.
Duoclean is super useful (based on what I have read) if you primarily have hard floors. But for carpets, the older style head supposedly cleans a bit better. Also be aware that with duoclean that you have to clean them out every so often (behind the rollers). Which is just another maintenance step I could do without.
I ended up getting the rotator during that brief sliver of time after midnight the other day when older coupons still worked... after subtracting kohls cash + rewards and so on (which I realize is fuzzy math, but I will use the kohls cash anyway for xmas presents), the vacuum + about $30 worth of freebie filler items ended up costing me like $130 (w/ taxes)
Don't forget to use cashback sites + paypal 5% (if you have a freedom card). Anyway, for those with hard floors + carpet, the Apex is probably the one to go for. For just carpets however, I am going with the Rotator.
And for those who just need a decent but cheap vacuum, this guy is a good deal at $120 (less w/ coupons):

They're 99% the same. Shark renamed the Apex, made a few minor cosmetic changes, and released a new vacuum named the vertex.
I had a problem using the $5 off on my vacuum too. I suggest chatting with a rep when they are available (little popup on kohls site)... I simply mentioned the issue and gave them the order number + coupon info, and she gave me $5 kohls cash.
I first tried calling, but don't do that -- a waste of time that took forever and led nowhere.

Thanks for the video link. I logged in Kohls and I got both coupons offers, so combined with the opinions I'll just get the Apex for $208.
