Faster speeds. V30 class

V30 is significantly faster, especially for sustained write speeds. It's particularly important for shooting 4K videos, as lower speeds may cause write failures (V30 signifies write speeds will never fall below 30MB/s). Not necessarily as useful for smartphones though in most cases, as dedicated video cameras have slightly cheaper full-size SD card options. For those who like the versatility of moving a microSD between many devices though (can't chop a full-size up!), this is a good option. I'm tempted, but I already have a lot of cards.

You have a point though those photogs who use the card on their cameras instead of phone would likely split their pics up. I bring about 3-4 cards of 128gb for my camera. Different one for each day when out shooting.

These are the steps I follow typically (and followed this time to get this deal)

1) Install Raku10 browser plugin in your browser
2) Google "Samsung Educational Discount Program"
3) Click on the relevant link and sign in to Samsung using your existing sign in. This will now show Educational prices.
4) Search for this memory card in product list to see Educational discounted prices, add it to cart
5) Now when in cart, click on the Raku10 browser plugin, it will detect a samsung.com page and show the relevant cashback % available. Click on the activate cashback button, and it will create a new shopping trip for you and reload the samsung page to assign in to this cashback shopping trip
6) Place your order from the same webpage now, this will detect the order number and the cashback should show up in a day or so
