These are a tricky category for anyone not familiar with, and specifically shopping for, these switches. These speed switches from Kailh are genuinely gaming focused by introducing a shorter actuation point about half that of traditional switches. Being Bronze tactile switches surely helps prevent unintended key presses, but be wary if you're just shopping for a general deal on a mechanical keyboard.

Good luck!

Heck yeah I prefer Amazon! Newegg customer service is horrendous.

I will not buy anything from Newegg unless I'm sure I will not want to return it, and I don't expect any support.

I currently have a Corsair K70 (red LED) keyboard. Can someone please explain to me the difference between Linear and Clicky keys? Is this keyboard in any way better than the Corsair? I like the USB passthrough on the K70.

The K70 is super clicky, always getting told to mute myself on work calls, LOL.

Thank you.
I guess super high level there are clicky linear and tactile switches. This guide can help u learn about each.
Linear: Smooth and consistent keystroke with a quiet noise.
Tactile: A small bump on each keystroke with a moderate noise.
Clicky: A small bump on each keystroke with a loud click noise.

In terms of which one is better, since both are budget production boards , I think its going to come down to features i would not expect a significantly better typing experience between them just diff. features. Z15 likely wins in features since its newer but up to u if its worth the upgrade.
If you want a "silent " typing experience, the only way i can think of is to get a board that allows u to hotswap the switches and then u can opt for a "silent" switch and there are plenty of options in that regard (ofc thats $$). these production boards typically come with your usual cherry kailh gateron common switch types. Hope this helps

For what it's worth, go with the clicky type.

I purchased this keyboard a year ago, and then, only the linear style was available.
I don't like it at all. Just slightly tapping/resting your finger on the keycaps will set it off. Also, randomly, some of the buttons will go off.

Example:
This is an exampleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Where I have to click on ESC a few times to make it stop.

Every button on EVGA Z15 RGB Backlit Gaming Keyboard w/ Kailh Speed Bronze Switches can be custom setting using EVGA driver.
I changed scroll wheel at the top right of the keyboard to scroll on web browser.
Audio buttons can also be changed for custom function.

"Windows" key can be relocated to other key on the keyboard while keeping Windows key with custom function.

Bronze Switches are clicky but not as loud and a little softer than Blue Switches.

It also comes with several spare linear Silver switches.

Keyboard refresh rate can be increased 1000-4000Hz.

Update:
EVGA released a new keyboard firmware 1.23 update today. Problem is after updated my keyboard, it forgot all the custom keys settings.

While EVGA keyboard hardware is good, software is buggy.

This is true. I don't know that I'd buy the clicky version though, rather go for a completely different keyboard with MXbrowns.

I migrated to Z15 from a similar K70R (blue switches) keyboard. As it was said, Evga Z15 is softer and less clicky. It's just easier to type. I like the feel while typing better than K70. Also it's RGB, if this matter. I adjusted mine to simple white.

Thank you. How is the hand rest? Does the Z15 have USB pass through?

You got the Linear or Clicky?

I dislike this keyboard quite a lot. The size of the board and key spacing makes lower letters engage while typing or gaming. Feels like I have to arch my hand at pinky area so that I don't engage the keys, especially the left hand area. Just my 2cents.

I can't comment on this particular keyboard, as I've never tried it, but in general mechanical keyboards will easily annoy anyone in close proximity, regardless of how "quiet" they claim the particular switches are. Membrane keyboards are, in general, cheaper and more quiet, since the keys bottom out on a piece of plastic or rubber (the membrane).

I don't use the hand rest since i have 2 keyboards on my tray and don't have place for it but it feel smooth and attaches pretty strong to the keyboard. For my hands, the height seems to be right there.

It does no have a USB pass trough.

Purchased this a few weeks back and put Kailh "box noble yellow" switches in place of the speed Bronze. It's turned this into an amazing typing experience. If you can't find the noble yellows, the box pink or box jades offer a similar experience. Very clicky, with a heavy, satisfying "clack" sound. NOT for office use.

If you had a 'clickier' keyboard, you would have caught that missing T in you last sentence :lmao. JK.
