I ended up selling mine because the shape of this kettlebell made it really difficult to do a lot of kettlebell exercises.

Can you give specific examples of what you couldn't do? Amazon review rating for this product is better than anything I've seen (5/5) and I wonder why that is the case if what you are saying is true.

Family member used to work for their company and got this model to test at home. One of the biggest gripes was that the gap between the handle and the dial on the top is too small. I have bigger hands and I constantly found I was either not able to comfortably fit my hand inside, and it also doesn't have enough space for both hands when you're doing sets that require you to hold the handle with both.

I've never used kettlebells for exercises so I really have no reference but I do see where the shape would be problematic compared to a regular kettlebell.

The handle is straight up and over versus having a slight triangular shape. It's not a huge issue, but I could see where having the angled handle would make it easier to grip for some exercises. You also have to realize that even if you're only using it for the lowest weight setting, you'll still be using a kettlebell that's very large. So for exercises where you'd normally expect to be using a smaller size bell, this one will be much larger.

It's a compromise. Do you want 5-6 different kettlebells laying around or deal with some minor awkwardness of this one for an all in one solution.

Alternatively, Sam's Club has for it's Members: Bowflex SelectTech 840 Adjustable Kettlebell for $89.98. Choose free curbside pickup where stock permits.

Weird. Can anyone else vouch for online / pickup in store at $99 with gift card?

When you purchase online, don't they charge you then? Or do they only charge at pickup?

If you already have any weights at home, you may consider building your own kettlebell handle as opposed to buying this. Im a huge bowflex fan (I have the 552s and 1090s) - but was afraid this wasn't going to be enough weight going forward for me. I built a kettlebell handle following this video on YouTube and am glad I did…I was swinging 65+lbs in only my 3rd workout, which is already considerably more weight than this bowflex is capable of (also to be clear - I'm not Heman or anything - 40 is just not much weight if you want to push yourself on swings)

A couple of places have had this on sale for $99. Price matched it to Best Buy yesterday, $99 + $50 GC. Bought a second one at $99 and used the $50 GC, so $49 + $50 GC. Came out to be 2 of them for $150 + $50 GC.
