This is not a cold-brew coffee maker. It brews hot coffee and pours it over ice. You can do the same thing by adding half as much water to your regular coffee maker, and an equivalent mass of ice in the carafe.

I was trying to figure out how this product makes iced coffee! Couldn't figure it out from most reviews of eyeballing the photos. I'm looking for something cheap to filter out my cold brew.

same functions, different capacity.

i use a 2L mr ice tea maker every other day for my own ice tea fix.

unfortunately all these cheap machines suffer the same problem as
cheap coffee makers - they expose leaves to not hot enough water.

The same company does make an accelerated cold brew device, but it's not nearly as cheap.

The only way I've found to make decent iced coffee that doesn't taste watered down is to brew regular hot coffee and refrigerate it for a few hours before you want to drink it.
Every machine that makes "iced coffee" that I've tried ends up being so watered down because the ice melts instantly.
