Everyone just needs to learn how easy it is to make a large batch of cold brew for the week for far superior tasting coffee

Also, some people who have heart burn or acid indigestion can greatly benefit from drinking cold brew if they had to give it up since it is far less acidic than traditional hot brewed coffee. Each brew method has its place, but iced coffee should be cold brewed if you really want it for taste. If you just drink coffee for the caffeine then I guess it doesn't really matter

Yep you just add ice amazing
He said cold brew not iced coffee. Not trying to be rude. But I do agree that cold brew is far superior imo and I'd recommend it to anybody that only does coffee the old fashioned way.

I don't get it....just brew coffee in your regular coffee pot a little stronger and then add ice. Why do you need a separate machine?

I bought a Mr. Coffee version of this (looks identical) as a lark and didn't think I'd really use it, but, it's pretty handy for the following reasons:

1) Pre-measured cofffee scoop gives exactly the right amount of grounds
2) 4 minutes brew cycle
3) the 22 oz cup is very nice with measures for water and ice, very easy to use
4) takes a lot less space than a regular coffee ground coffee maker
5) I fill the cup with crushed ice (works a bit better than cubes) and because it's double walled it doesn't get wet on the outside. The cup and straw alone are worth $3-$5
6) the basket is easy to remove and clean
7) it has a slider that keeps the brew from pouring until you are ready, like the times you press the start button but forgot to add the ice to the cup
8) seems to produce exactly the right strength coffee but can add more grounds if you want it stronger as there is plenty of room in the basket

So, mainly for convenience, I've been using this daily since I got it. I know it's weird, but it is really quick and easy to use. I bought 2 more just for the cup and straw. These are also $10 at Ollie's

store the coffee in fridge for the whole week and still get "superior" tasting out of it? your standard is not very high
Have you ever made cold brew? Do you know the difference between a cold brew and an iced coffee brewed stronger to not get so watered down when ice is added? You can make as small or as large of a batch of cold brew concentrate as you want, if you want to make just 1 glass worth for the day while having to wait 16-24 hrs for it to steep, by all means. If you make a larger batch, it doesn't really have much of a flavor/taste change within the week it's brewed. If you've never even dabbled with any of this, then I suggest you give it a try to understand a bit more first.

Another note in favor of these tumblers included with Mr Coffee and Gourmia; they a have nice silicone sealing gasket ring for the lid and the overall cup material feels higher quality/finish than generic clear tumblers from other retailers.
