Rebate question: it's backordered. Rebate calls for the form to be postmarked within 21 days of purchase. What if the item is received on day 21? (Ex: order today, back ordered until +14 days, received +21 days).
Says ETA of 11/24. For sure, if your order isn't fulfilled by 11/27 (original end date) you have some decisions to make...

A NewEgg rebate is involved? Nope I cant do it.. getting it is iffy at best, not to mention it will take like 30 days after the holidays for them to start the rebate processing, and another 30 days to mail it out..

So if you are sitting at home in March and you get that sorry we could not accept your rebate as submitted mail, you will be remembering the thing I learned a few years ago.. MSI and NewEgg rebates are not worth the effort.

Why not just drop the whole rebate idea and discount the price $20.. The lower price would save us some sales tax.. It would solve the potential of the Ill will I have had against NewEgg for years now. I cant forget it.. It is like when you get food poisening you never want to go back to the place you got it from. I have avoided them ever since the great rebate fiasco and never looked back.

I could've sworn there's another post of this very same NVMe SSD deal, especially since there's a MIR tied to it.

There is fully paperless option at https://msi.rebateaccess.com/prom...hp?p=93504

It requires taking photos or scanning barcodes with qr code/serial number from package

This all stuff you will need for paperless option, no mailing needed

Deal experts, what are the chances Amazon will have this MSI SSD at a lower price than their current $120 any time soon?

The 3300 TBW is intriguing.

I got this from Newegg weeks ago at $99. In PS5 it shows 5600MB/s speed, just larger than the recommended speed (5500MB/s)

Which one is better? This deal or the deal below?

https://slickdeals.net/f/15426019-best-buy-has-many-nvme-ssds-at-discount-e-g-sandisk-1tb-nvme-pcie-...
This one, the sandisk is a gen3 NVMe, while this one is gen 4. Sandisk read/write speed is 2400/1950, the msi is 5000/4400

real world number varys though

That's pretty tricky, so many rebates about to be lost cuz it arrives the day before Christmas and the week of family vacations that take place within that 3 days to submit rebate from delivery.

I doubt it will go lower, amazon lower the price today to 120, so in a couple day they're going to lower the price again? Seems unlikely, but who knows. The 3300 is kinda hard to believe, the WD sn850 that's going for 150 is only 600 tbw.

update- the 3300 tbw speed is for the 2 tb version, the 1 tb is 1600 tbw - source pcmag review

How reliable this is for a laptop? heat issues?

If no rebate is considered is it a good deal in comparison to WD SN 750 selling for $100?

you show your ignorance by referring to a Newegg rebate, it's a mfr rebate processed by rebate processor. if you can't distinguish between fact and fiction that's your problem.

Rebates are offered by multiple mfrs include Seasonic, Asus, MSI, EVGA, Corsair and Cooler Master - Amazon, Microcenter, B&H and Fry's all do them to a lesser extent.

if you screwed up most processors give you the opportunity to resubmit copies of your documentation, if you forget to mail it or can't follow plain English directions that's on you.

So if you are sitting at home in March and you get that sorry we could not accept your rebate as submitted mail, you will be remembering the thing I learned a few years ago.. MSI and NewEgg rebates are not worth the effort.
