This is a nice car and super features. Purchased this and returned only because 12v has super power and I dont have space. Otherwise very nice car.

I agree 6V is not great speed wise. Kids will quickly outgrow it. Get a 12V and convert to 18V or 24V or even 36V as they age.

Lots of YouTube Videos for 18V-36V upgrade/conversions.

You probably could but it might burn out the motor. You'd be sending it 3x the power it was designed for. If you wanted to try it, you'd be better off with something picked up cheap at a yard sale.
