Corporateperk.com offers 10% points from Employee Purchase Program, however I can't get a working coupon code to stack with it. It is still cheaper overall. I am getting $1741 on 5600x and 3080, 10% points brings it to $1567 which is $50 cheaper than non-EPP.
I will pull the trigger if I can get one more coupon code to stack, also hoping for HP to offer a more loaded configuration on Black Friday for 5600x. A bit more memory and disk space, anything!
This is actually a repost of a deal I posted yesterday, but you wouldn't know at a glance because they completely screwed up the title when they made it front page. (It's the one with pavilion 5700g for $1026.)
My original title included a few pavilion and omen configurations, as the whole intent of it was to list several good configurations of both Pavilion and Omen with updated pricing. They made it look like a Pavilion-specific post, and highlighted one of the less popular configurations to boot. (I'm not bitter lol)
Also, I wasn't aware at the time, but others are reporting edu does work with 10gamer2021 code making this 3080 build $1566.

Just doubled checked doing as I just described and still shows this price for me. Also make sure you're not logged in on an EPP account as they won't stack and will prevent code from applying.
I also used R******* cash back site for 2% back which effectively makes it $2240 for the 3090 combo.
I see this question often in pc posts but I thought I read they found a way to bypass most of the LHR limitations.
That deal is a slightly diff price, diff code, and required EDU. The $2285 price using current codes and pricing doesn't require a special account. Not sure if EDU still stacks at all as i don't have one, but my EPP will not work with it.

Consider upgrading from a 5300g to a 5600g, as CPU L3 cache is doubled from 8mb to 16mb. Upgrading to a 5700g is not a good deal for the same reason -- the 5700g still has a 16mb l3 cache.
TechNitWit on YouTube has some videos on how to install your own CPU cooler on the Pavilion TG01 models. Looks like you need to combine AMD and Intel mounting kits (WTF?!?) but it is possible.
If noise is your primary concern, you might be better off searching for one designed with that more in mind. But the Omen does have an option to upgrade the 5600x to a liquid cooled 5800x for about $190 more after coupon, and for these prices, you might also be able to easily do some fan upgrades to suit your needs while still keeping a low total cost.

I'm using a 4 or 5 year old R5 1400/rx580 rig and the only thing keeping me from building my own is ofc the lack of availability of GPUs. My wife has a Walmart HP something or other from a few years back. It's slow and weak but she mostly does web stuff and light gaming consisting of Hearthstone and occasionally Diablo.
Some of these Omens are actually pretty good deals to use as they are (maybe with some ram/ssd/fan upgrades) but I could get the $908 Pavilion and pull the card for a DIY, until better GPUs are reasonable again, and the rest would be a decent upgrade for her needs.
EDIT: Or for that matter, I could probably do the same with any of the Omens and swap my RX580.
