Pretty much the best desktop deals this Black Friday so far. While there are solid deals on i7's, I really hate i7-11700K CPU's in general and 5600x just provides way better performance for the heat and power consumption. It is especially important in pre-built's like this.

Corporateperk.com offers 10% points from Employee Purchase Program, however I can't get a working coupon code to stack with it. It is still cheaper overall. I am getting $1741 on 5600x and 3080, 10% points brings it to $1567 which is $50 cheaper than non-EPP.

I will pull the trigger if I can get one more coupon code to stack, also hoping for HP to offer a more loaded configuration on Black Friday for 5600x. A bit more memory and disk space, anything!

This is actually a repost of a deal I posted yesterday, but you wouldn't know at a glance because they completely screwed up the title when they made it front page. (It's the one with pavilion 5700g for $1026.)

My original title included a few pavilion and omen configurations, as the whole intent of it was to list several good configurations of both Pavilion and Omen with updated pricing. They made it look like a Pavilion-specific post, and highlighted one of the less popular configurations to boot. (I'm not bitter lol)

Also, I wasn't aware at the time, but others are reporting edu does work with 10gamer2021 code making this 3080 build $1566.

They're built like that so that they can say we have a PC with soso specs that turns on starting at a very low price. if you want better, you customize it and put in better parts, which increases the price but Ngl it's cheaper to just replace the parts yourself

Ended up going with the 30L with the 5800 X and water cooling, upgraded psu and case, upgraded wifi, rtx 3070, upgraded ram (I know you can get it cheaper, but didn't want to fool with any conflicts/problems), bigger hard drive for about $1850 after tax. The 3080 was tempting, but I game at 1440, so I think the 3070 should be plenty. Also think the water cooling and 3070 will help a bit with the temps people say they get with the limited airflow. Estimated ship date is 12/15.

What you said. It's only $40 to double the ssd, but these also have another m.2 you can stick a larger 2nd nvme in later. And RAM is cheaper for a 16gb kit to swap in than upgrading this one.

I was considering doing similar. Maybe not as expensive, but a 3070 build with a little more in other things to be about the same price as the 3080 for a better all around system. One thing thing to note is these also have more than one m.2 so you can add another nvme storage later on.

Yep that's the starting config. Customize it to fit your need, or like me I already have the parts I need, so left the base build and will add my own SSD's and RAM upgrades.

I believe HP uses HyperX RAM. Third party RAM will run at a slower clock speed.

I was hoping it did have that. With Windows Installations and patches getting bigger and bigger, I wasn't comfortable with that small HD for the Windows install. I'm sure it wouldn't run out any time soon, but knew that 512 would be plenty. Then I'll probably get another 512 or 1TB to store games on.

It's a custom m-Atx MB. The reviews talk about its limitations, limited ports, two Ram slots and that it's really thin for a motherboard
