Did you have success? It didn't capture for me when I placed order.

Order placed, totaling $1,566.89 for a 3080 card with 5600x processor. I decided to pull the trigger after my cart was updated with this new price (it indicated such at the top of my cart when viewing)

I ended up getting the HP Omen 30L GT13-1380z for $1340 before taxes with the EDU discount:
Ryzen 5600X, 3060 TI, 1TB SSD, 8GB RAM

I bought another 8GB RAM from Newegg for $40, so the final total with taxes was about $1460. I'll do temperature checks to see if I need a new CPU cooler and I'll see if I can add fans from my current build. Honestly, if we were in a normal universe without this crazy market, I would've been able to build this for like $1200-1300 at MSRP, so I guess this isn't too bad. Plus I get to save some time and effort with a pre-built.

Sounds similar to my situation. I was trying to avoid a prebuilt but in this market, it seems worth it. I was hoping to just upgrade my build from 2017 but it looks like I'll be parting out my old build of Ryzen 1600 and EVGA 1060, less maybe scavenging some fans to put in this case. Which ram did you add?

I came very close to pulling the trigger on a configuration. Like putting in my card number and stopped myself. I can't convince myself to spend that kind of money on a prebuilt. I've always built my own pc, at least since maybe 2000 ish. But this seems to be the only way to actually get a PC anymore with the graphics cards being near impossible to actually get.

Someone mentioned that HP Omen updated their bios recently so you can change XMP profiles to adjust RAM speed, but if that isn't the case, I'll just use Ryzen Master to do it.

Hey guys,

Thank you for the deal. I actually super undecided about this, my 980ti burned out 5month ago, so was looking for replacement. I'm gamer, not a miner. Read some comments, and realized that actually I won't find a better deal than this with RTX 3080. Did some research on my end, so if anyone interested what brand does the RTX 3080 they have, it's a Foxconn. Apparently Foxconn started making providing their GPU's to HP build's. I never heard anything bad nor good about Foxconn, but I believe it's a pretty decent brand.
So I decided actually getting this deal, but I missed with EDU discount with extra $50, so got 1738 with all taxes included. (Damn me could've been less).
I'm little bit concerned about shipping though, my date is set to be for end of the December. Some people said it can be even longer.
Also, if anyone who already got these builds at their home, could you please share some experience and give couple tips how to improve cooling? I heard cooling is another issue with this builds. So I'm assuming I will need to order water cooled cpu fan, and replace their OEM ones with noctua.
By the way, I didn't pick the extra warranty with 3 years plan. $400 bucks is kinda high for checking if you gpu will die within these 3 years, where I hope it won't.
