Samsung has such inflated MSRP you'd be losing money buying just to trade in
Depending on which one tbh. I really want a note. Doing the math, i'll be getting a $70 credit profit with a $700 note 20. $665 with military.

Does this phone work with T-Mobile sim?
NO and it also won't work with an ATT sim.

Cmon people, you don't think that this deal would've sold out within minutes if the phone was really just locked to TMO or ATT??

Can someone please tell me if Walmart charges any restocking fees if this iPhone is returned as open box?
I'm thinking of worst scenario if BestBuy didn't accept this device for trade in and don't want to stuck with straight talk?

First time iPhone user here.
Stupid question: can you use this phone WiFi only?

Yes, just don't insert any sim card.

Can I give it to them still new in the box? Really don't want to be stuck with this phone if I can't get the deal to work
Not much of a point of giving it to them sealed

They will open the box and take the phone out regardless to check and verify the info.

Also, not sure what accessories coke with it, but you can keep those as they only take the phone itself

Smart play like several mentioned already is to use this phone against an upgrade at BB ( Tmobile ) . Here's what I was planning and appreciate if someone can let me know if it will work

- Signup at Costco for Tmobile BYOD ( 2 lines ) . Not sure if there is $300 offer .
- Head out to BB next day and upgrade these to Iphone 13 and get $630 for the trade in

Q1 . Should we have the IMEI number of 12 mini while signing up for BYOD at Costco ?
Q2. Once upgraded to 13 at BB , how soon can we cancel the lines ?

Is my math correct ?
$299 * 2 = $598
BYOD 1 month ( ??? ) monthly charges = $120 = $120
Balance on iPhone 13 pro max = ~$480 * 2.= 960

total for two phones = 598 + 120 +960 = $1678 ( doesn't include $ 2xx in cash back and other savings )

Thanks for the reply and the info on the accessories (especially since I think I saw somewhere that the 13 doesn't come with a charger?). What info will they be verifying on the phone? And should I power it up at home first so it does all its updates or whatever before bringing it to Best Buy?

This will work as planned except that Costco $300 BYOD deal requires to keep the lines active for 3-4 months (I believe they say 14 weeks processing time for the rebate in the paperwork). When you sign up at Costco you don't necessarily need the IMEIs from the 12 minis just because you plan on trading those in — any 2 IMEIs will work. So technically, if the 3-4 months of service don't scare you more than the thought of getting $600 Costco cash for your troubles, you could go and open the TMO account tomorrow, maybe even place an order on BB for the 13s right afterward (I did that about 3 hours after opening my account at Costco), wait for the 12 minis to get delivered and then take them straight to BB for your trade when the 13s are ready for pickup. That way you can get a head start and actually make sure that the BB deal doesn't expire before the 12 minis come in.

Your math is correct except that one month of service on the Essentials plan is $90, not $120 (unless you need the extra perks of Magenta for the one month you plan on having it). Make that $270 if you wait for your Costco cash but then of course subtract the $600.

Trade in value to Apple is $350. They do not consider lock status when you trade in.
After taxes you hardly profit lol...better off investing that money
