If anyone is looking for a truly great and themed cookbook, this is the one to get: "Heroes' Feast (Dungeons & Dragons): The Official D&D Cookbook"

We got it for my son a year ago and the dishes are all actually amazing. Highly recommended for the consummate gamer chef. Seriously.

This is generally matching Target. The books that aren't on Target or aren't included on Target don't get the match on Amazon.

Probably go with Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. It will add some great depth to his campaigns.

These are very basic core books, are you sure he doesn't already have them? Is he used to playing another edition or something?

Tasha's and Tome of Foes are the best bet. They're resources and rules expansions. Most of the others are campaign adventures and that's best picked by him for his preference. Speaking as a player/DM, new dice or a nice dice box are always welcome as well.
