It has touchscreen and Battery life will be same. Unlike the true H series 45W processors, these belong to H35 series which are just 4 Core U series CPU like i5-1135G7 and i7-1165G7 with a slightly higher TDP of 35W. You won't see any battery life difference between i5 and i7.

This is better. It has higher resolution and brighter display, 90 Hz refresh rate and the Cooling is better which allows the Processors to run at higher clock speed for longer duration, resulting better sustained performance.

At 1920x1200 resolution, I think you can play with decent settings.

Just tried it and when viewing Arcane it shows Dolby Vision, so that is a yes.

Depends upon what he is planning to use this laptop for and if he is already using Mac Eco system.
2.8K 90 Hz BTW.
They are exactly same Laptop. Now for $50 more, you're getting 4 times the storage and extra 1 year warranty. So, if you can grab one from Costco, I would say, get one. In this thread, the $699 deal is actually the better deal.

If a person had to choose between the MacBook air M1 and this, what (as a suggestion) should he choose?

Excellent price for a nice laptop. This has 2.8K display, Thunderbold 4, Aluminum built, 400 nits brightness and 100% sRGB. Ram is soldered but plenty.

Does anyone know a work around to buying gift cards to Walmart with some prepaid visa debits that I got from Xfinity deals, since you can't do multiple cards in a transaction? I tried converting them to regular gift cards with them on walmarts site and paypal only to get the transactions denied.

Did you do whatever activation steps for the cards (if needed)? Did you verify the balance? For prepaid/refund/promo cards like this, I've always converted them to the vendor gift cards such as Amazon. Are you saying this isn't working (after performing the first steps of verifying activation and balance)?

Yes i activated them and made sure my address and any other info was correct. Added the card to my account. Made sure the gift card amount was equal to the balance on the card. Walmart.com and paypal egift card store both came back denied.

I got the Costco one but its now out of stock and as noted the 1TB SSD and Warranty are worth it if you local store still has this in stock:https://www.costco.com/lenovo-ide...94401.html

If not you are getting the lesser spec on on this deal with is still a good deal for the price, esp the $699 i5.

Great machine for a great price.. I have the Costco version being the only diffferences are i7 + 1tb ssd.. I'd probably rather save $200 and get this version since SSDs are cheap and the i5 vs i7 are literally within 5% performance.

So yes, save $200 and get this.
