Wow, after a lot of people just a couple of days ago bought their deal, they now throw in a free case? I guess they like people making returns. I'll do that if GameStop matches the deal.
It appears the the credit works on anything sold by Amazon, and digital only refers to the fact that you won't have a physical gift card/code in your hands.
Last comment on this, promise. Amazon has an odd business model. They did refund me $50 in gift cards to buy the case. This $50 consisted of a $25.08 refund from one order, $12 from another and $13 from a third order. They basically just went through random orders and plucked money back from them. $50.08 via random credits.
Not complaining, just seems to be an odd way of doing things. Maybe it hits their bottom line differently this way.
Compared with Sam's Club bundled deal: you essentially get an "elite strap with battery" for an extra 80 bucks at Sams Club. Retail on those is 109 bucks. So Sams deal may be better if you are looking for a powered upgraded strap. Sam's Club charges 5 dollars shipping.
I'm a little confused. I just this deal and the sams deal and they both include the same thing. What am I missing that will make the sams deal better?

They did this with me before too. Just randomly refunding items to get close to the dollar amount. Your ultimate play would be to pocket the $50, still return the headset and rebuy unless some of that refund hit your initial Oculus order.

Sam's Club bundle includes an upgraded strap called the elite strap with battery. It is more comfortable and includes an attached battery pack. The elite strap retails for 109.00

I dont think you can rebuy until they receive the headset. But, I did think of that (none of the credits came from the oculus purchase). They finally made good, so I am happy with outcome and no need to hustle packages around

Just requires multiple Amazon accounts is all!
