Wow, after a lot of people just a couple of days ago bought their deal, they now throw in a free case? I guess they like people making returns. I'll do that if GameStop matches the deal.

It appears the the credit works on anything sold by Amazon, and digital only refers to the fact that you won't have a physical gift card/code in your hands.

If you get this, don't miss out on the extra $30 Oculus store credit if you are referred by someone who already has a Quest/Quest 2.

I had no luck getting a credit from Amazon, fought them on it for a while. Eventually got to a supervisor and he offered for me to purchase the case, then get a full refund on it once delivered. Good enough!

By the end of my conversation with Amazon rep, he verified that the best option for me was to return my Amazon purchase and buy it elsewhere to get the discount. What a joke lol.

I got a $50 courtesy credit from Amazon that I was only able to use to buy the exact case that goes with the promo.

FYI, there's a Discover Card $30 promo when you use cash back dollars (has to be manually activated prior to purchase). This plus 5% for all Discover purchases on Amazon makes the deal even better!

Chatted with Amazon customer service , after about 10 mins, he went ahead and refund me $50.
Since I used $200 giftcard on my original order he said i might receive partial amount in giftcard and partial in my credit card.
At first he told me to just return and reorder, then I told him about the promo and how it might not work for 2nd order, he put me on hold for 7 mins and approved the refund.
I also asked if I return the quest in the future, i will receive the full amount - $50(that got refund today) .

Does anyone here use it with their gaming computer and what are your thoughts/things you would want others to know?

Amazon wouldn't issue me the credit via chat, even after speaking with a supervisor. Told me to go through the return and repurchase process.

Good stuff! This will be my first go at VR , anything else I should be aware of? Will younger kids be able to use this?
My youngest was 10 when we bought it and she used it just fine. The Epic Rollercoaster demo was a huge hit at first but I highly recommend sitting for that one.

Other random thoughts...

If anyone is experiencing motion sickness you can try having a fan blow on them. It's hit or miss but I find it helps.

NEVER USE IT OUTSIDE! If the sun gets into the eye pieces even for a sec it can cause permanent damage.

Minecraft really needs a PC to play properly, there's a VR version but it's not as feature rich as if you played linked to a VR capable PC. I use mine stand alone so I don't PC.

Gorilla Tag is free via the App Lab as is Rec Room...personally I make them play in a public room near me so I can keep an ear on what is being said. There's no parental controls on speech of course.

Better to use 3 accounts $30off$100 to buy best buy gift cards. Or for some of my Amazon accounts I have amex 30% and discover 30% offers on same account. $210 beats Amazon price.

Well I ordered this last night before the case was free. I canceled that order and ordered this with a different Amazon account (as it had blocked me from buying a second one with the prior account even though I had already submitted for return).
