Wow, after a lot of people just a couple of days ago bought their deal, they now throw in a free case? I guess they like people making returns. I'll do that if GameStop matches the deal.

It appears the the credit works on anything sold by Amazon, and digital only refers to the fact that you won't have a physical gift card/code in your hands.

Wow thanks for this I lucked out big time. Chatted into Amazon when the deal was still live. They told me to chat back in when I get the item and they'd apply a $50 refund. Got the item and chatted in, rep I got refused to help. I asked for a supervisor and told them I'd be canceling prime which expires next month. Supervisor issued a $100 refund towards it. So I guess $199 quest 2 with $50 gc!

I believe that I bought the last one this morning on Amazon (just before they ran out). I'm a grandpa and buying 3 of them, so in order to get the $30 Oculus website referral credit, I think my first "grandson" one can refer a second "owner" who can refer to the third one! Does this sound logical to any one that's out there that may know? Thanks!

Yes you can do that. Once you activate you can immediately start referring others.

Absolutely.

Make 3 Oculus accounts.
Grandson 1 uses Quest 1 to sign into their account (with or without a referral).
Grandson 1 refers Grandson 2.
Grandson 2 uses Quest 2 to sign into their account.
Grandson 2 refers Grandson 3.
Grandson 3 uses Quest 3 to sign into their account.

At the end of the day (or month), Grandson 1 has $30 (or $60 if they used an initial referral), Grandson 2 has $60, and Grandson 3 has $30.

That sounds perfect, just make sure that grandson one activates someone's referral too, otherwise you'll be leaving $30 on the table.


In total you should gain $150 in referral credits between all of your grandsons, each referral should get you $60 credits between two accounts + $30 for the first grandson who should be referred by a third-party. The third grandson would get shorted $30, because he would not be referring anyone, but the other grandsons can gift purchases to make up for it.

Totally agree, the Quest 2 case is better than nothing but no where close to the same quality of the Quest 1 case (which won't work with a Quest 2).
