Good deal. Just want to take the time to say that the number of commercials that you have to sit through on their regularly priced ad supported plan os nuts. I could see 1 1:30 minute break during an episode, but there are like 4 during a 40 minute episode.
There are more conveinent pirating ways to watch all shows compared to Hulu ads.

I need live tv package for 1 day. Apparently it won't offer me the trial to switch my current hulu to it... So I assume I could just switch it 1 day and then switch back and only pay 1 day of the cost? when I switched from ad to ad free and back it did that.... pro-rated the charges when switching back.

Or I guess I could make a new account and get the trial? Seems to me if you constantly made accounts to get trials, they'd catch on, though.

I am piecing together how to most cheaply get all of my school's bball games. lol. If I do youtube tv FIRST, then I have to do either 1 day of hulu live tv or waste a free trial of fubo just to see 1 game from sec network...

Great deal, wish I could get it but I'd have to give up my grandfathered Spotify+Hulu plan. They'll never pry that from my hands.
I had to give that up in my divorce!

How bad are the commercials on this? I normally only do commercial free plans.

The # of ad insertions on Hulu is grating & almost broadcast network in length. .99 is the right price. Signed up again only b/c there is the occasional movie or show that is only on Hulu. I can swing $12 for that.

I heard on news that NBC is pulling their shows off Hulu and putting them on Peacock.
"NBCUniversal is considering pulling its content from Hulu and keeping it solely on its own streaming platform, Peacock."

It depends on what you're watching. Movies have ads before they start, but AFAIK, the movies will then play uninterrupted. Unfortunately, with TV shows, you should expect commercial interruption to be more similar to traditional TV. Because of my TV settings, I personally find it annoying to watch HDR shows because the commercials are in SDR. This puts them at max SDR brightness on my TV, but I could change my TV settings to fix that. One annoying thing about ad-supported streaming in general is that you might keep seeing the same commercial(s) over and over; more so than with traditional TV.

Not a bad deal at all. My last year Black Friday deal is about to expire.

Stopped the subscription on my old account and created a new account for the .99 cent deal.

Also got the AMC+ deal this year.
Now need to keep a look out for any Shudder, Lifetime Movie Channel and Spotify.

Chrome + UBlock Origin is your solution to an ad-free computer-viewing experience, works wonderfully, and Ublock has been trusted for a long time. Each commercial flashes for maybe half a second (if that) and then your program resumes.

Honestly, people complaining super hard, but its not bad. Less than on normal tv, which I think is something super important that they're ignoring. During a normal 1 hour episode, which is actually 44 minutes, it can range from 4-5 90 second commercials. Something older, 4. Something releasing every week, 5. So something new, thats 7.5 mins of commercials for a brand new episode. So, less than half the commercial time than on normal tv. So, hour will actually be around 51 minutes average. For 30 minute shows, being actual 22 minutes, will range from 2-3 90 second commercials, about 25 minutes. Still less than normal tv. All this for $1/month. I personally have no issue, even for the $2/month i've been paying.

How does the frequency/duration compare to "over the air" tv stations? I can't tolerate and only watch "over the air" tv when visiting my elderly father.. it drives me crazy 😝

I do like some Hulu shows though.
It depends. IIRC, a 30 minute show has 2 or 3, each ranging between 60-90 seconds. Still not as long as OTA TV...yet...but certainly getting up there. I remember free Hulu used to be like one 15-second ad per 30-minute program. Then it got to two 15-second ads...then it became 30 seconds...and so on. A lot of times it's the same ad over and over and over again, so yea...got super annoying really quick.
