I have subscriptions to the Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times and I think the reporting by all three are excellent and some of the best in the country. I don't read their opinion pages. I encourage you to give their reporting a read, and perhaps you'll find something interesting. It's best to learn more about the facts, then form your own opinions rather than regurgitating someone else's opinions.
And by the way, this is the best deal I've seen for an annual subscription to a major newspaper. Definitely worth it to see if you find the reporting interesting.
Due on November 23, 2022
Rate - $9.99 (plus applicable sales tax)
I NEVER read the Washington Post Opinion pieces, but their Fact-based journalism is still top-notch IMO.
I'm really glad they make the distinction and am happy to provide at least a little support to one of the few remaining institutions that at least attempt to make a distinction between fact-based reporting and opinion pieces.

Have to consider if I want to change the login on all the devices and computers we have, and then know I'll still have my husband call me from work saying he can't login to it (because he'll be using the old account there!). Might be worth it though, this is a good deal if I can get it for two years.

I ultimately decided to cancel and resubscribe under a new email and using the new promo, because 2 yrs/$20 is always better than 1 yr/$10
The Washington post is the most obscenely biased drabble.
I don't want a liberal or conservative publications. Wasn't there a time when people wanted objective reporting so they could have information to decide for themselves? I suppose that is when corporations and governments treated adults like adults not large bodied children in need of reeducation.
I suspect if both sides reported the TRUTH without spinning, redacting, paraphrasing, and framing it to cater to their cult, many people would realize we all have much more in common than we realize.
It all comes down to money. They will write what sells. If washington post has trouble getting people to sign up for $10 a year, who the hell is going to fund the journalists, editors, etc... Truth of the matter is today people want to be entertained. No one is going to read something that just states the facts.
Article:
Fed raises interest rates by .5% in 2022. But we want to know the context and ramifications behind the move. It could be seen as good or bad depending on your stance, and according to you they should just report the facts only. But most people are just simply too stupid to understand news or do not have the time to analyze everything by themselves if its not served on a silver platter to them and they are told what to take from it. If FOX news started saying tomorrow that gun control is good and offered reasons, I'm sure some of their base would eventually come around to the idea.
If a liberal media source said eating bananas cause cancer, I'm sure some people would also start repeating that same information.
You can go read AP for news.
