I have the 2.0 version... For those who question if its worth it. Imagin a Man and a kid going insane with happiness by hunting flys around the house. Yep. Got flys or bugs in your house, you will fall in LOVE. Some of you might actually enhance your bugasalt by adding lasers and other accessories to it. YES, they make laser sights and stuff for it. lol..

Anyway, It is worth every penny. Thats why I just snagged this one at only 35 bucks. One for my house, and the other for my gf's house!

The official Bug-A-Salt Ebay store [ebay.com] has box-damaged ones for around this price year round. E.g., Currently the 2.5 version is available for $32.95.

I've always wanted one but it always seemed overpriced for what it is. Probably because I subconsciously equate it with a water gun. Still can't pull the trigger for $35 (no pun intended).

If you're like me, I use all purpose spray on flies. It kills them much slower than a quick death with these.

For sure! I could have bought one of these a few years back for about $15. $35 is way too high.

Another vote that these are worth it and fun. You have to get pretty point blank with anything moderately bigger (wasp) but it did eventually take it down.

The laser sight is an amazing add on to this. Kill shots from the hip. Recommend kosher salt or whatever you can find with large granules.

Currently, I fry the bugs using a DynaTrap® Dynazap® Extendable Racket Zapper; which, cooks the bug and it doesn't cause the bug's guts to splatter.

Does the bug-a-salt cause the bug to splatter into bug parts? Or does the bug remain in one piece for easy clean up like my DynaTrap® Dynazap® Extendable Insect Zapper does?

My question has always been is the clean up bad? I just imagine I would be constantly sweeping my hardwood floors trying to get all of the salt up.

It says it's for adults only and it's not a toy, but we all know, you're gonna have fun playing with it, plus any sacrificial insects.

Ditto, I'd like to know what happens with the salt you shoot, does it just get everywhere?

I agree, Bug-a-salt 2.0 was $15 last year. What's new?
