I currently have 3 Diono Radian (various models), a Diono Ranier, and the Graco 4ever DLX. Each year Diono comes out with a slightly modified model with a different name, but they are basically the same between models. The "QXT" jazz is all marketing as there are very little differences between models. We have another child on the way so I've been following these for some time.
The Graco is actually my favorite seat, but it is absolutely huge and may not work in your vehicle if you have multiple car seats or children. I currently have it behind my driver's side seat in my Ford Flex (7-seater full size vehicle) and it takes up most of the middle seat in the second row. There's no way anyone can use that seat now.
For the Diono's I do love that 3 of them can fit side-by-side; even in our previous Subaru Outback, but they are not meant to be moved between vehicles or anything. They weigh a ton though they are space conscious. Tightening the harness belt is actually oddly difficult with the Ranier.. That said, even if the seat next to it isn't as crowded as with the 4ever DLX, it's not a comfortable fit for my 11yo daughter sitting next to one. She can reach the buckle and sit up straight, but it's still a bit crowded.
TLDR: Diono's have the best space-saving capabilities by far and are really safe, but don't go for the Ranier at the inflated price even though it has a few gimmicky comforts. The Graco is my favorite as far as functionality since you can pull a lever and decline/raise the seat with a simple lever pull. Exceptionally useful with infants, and it feels like the infant inserts actually cradle the baby in the carseat. It's also decently easy to pull apart and wash like a Diono.
If I had less kids, I'd have more of the Graco's but I'm happy with a mix of both.

Did exactly this and like that I can easily return too!
Did it actually work? I just tried to do it through the Nordstrom chat and the representative told me that because it was a limited sale, it doesn't qualify for their price match.
After a 10 min chat with the Nordstrom customer service, I got it price matched. Free shipping, no tax to FL and easy returns.

Yes it worked. Order placed and ready to be shipped. I sent the Nordstrom item number and url from Diono website, after couple of minutes the chat agent told me that he can price match. Please try the chat one more time, If that doesn't work, you can call them.
Does anyone have any experience between the 3R and 3Q series? We have a 3R and 3RXT. Was about to buy another 3R but this deal gets the 3Q pretty close in price.
Not sure if you have experience in my question but figure I'd ask since you have the Graco seats. We already have Evenflo infant seat which sits on a base...
Do you think the Diono, front facing, and an infant seat on a base (Evenflo Safemax Car seat), rear facing, would fit side my side in a mid size SUV like the RAV4? I'm thinking of positioning the Diono behind passenger and the infant seat in center so i can get another medium sized adult in second row... Thoughts?
I have tried this with a Chicco KeyFit 30 base which is pretty similar and it doable. The base in the middle seat will fit but I had to basically push the Diono towards the door a little bit to get the base snug, then pushed it back as close to the base as possible. If you're still using LATCH front facing it's pretty easy, but I ended up buying a seat belt extension once my son was over 40lbs because it was impossible to buckle/unbuckle in such close quarters. It does work though, as my wife routinely rode next to our newborn behind the driver seat while my 2nd oldest rode behind the passenger in the Diono. For your RAV4, you may need a seat belt extender for the adult as well since the base might cover the clips, but the room on each side should be fine (even if a bit tight).

ordered on nordstrom with price match via chat
My rep needed to cancel the previous order, then reorder with the matched price after 10-15 minutes of chatting
Came out to be about $220 shipped in CA including tax, free shipping
I had this, Its huge, heavy, and a total pain to switch from car to car. In rear facing position you can expect to move the front seats forward quite a bit (2020 Yukon). Its not so bad when forward facing and can accommodate and 5'10 adult in front of it okay.
I tried to move it into a honda CRV and it simply made the front seats nearly unusable.
Because of the weight, size, and cumbersome nature, I swapped it for a britax one4life setup that's much better.

This is the most infuriating car seat i've owned especially for rear facing. they are huge, the rear facing mechanism can rip up your seats if you aren't careful, and they take a ton of depth space. even in a Honda Odyssey your driver or passenger seat won't be able to be set back that much.
Don't fall for the marketing that they are compact. they may fit 3 wide, but the depth is the worst in the industry. Nuna Rava is superior in every way. Or if you're in a budget and still need compact, get a combi coccoro which is a good seat as well..
