💡When you first get this you're going to want to get a bottle of liquid car polish and put a couple coats on the outside and inside while the surface is still clean. That should prevent any mold for a couple of years. A lot of car polish also provide a degree of UV protection, which is especially useful for plastic and resin objects like this, as UV is the number one reason why plastics/resin breakdown. I do this on pretty much everything that I buy that is going to be exposed to the elements.(including my new roof gutters, patio furniture, windows, etc) Three or four minutes of work per item saves me so much time overall and keeps things looking good for a couple years without much or any maintenance.
I saw this post and I thought, "hey that would be a good box for my Amazon/Walmart+ deliveries."
Let's hope it works out! 🤞
Step 3, put your deck in that box.

Do similar prices pop up around the year? I need a bigger one that will hold hoses and some other outdoor stuff
Yes, just look for it, won't always be posted on SD. I was about to comment, this is a good deal that you will see twice or three times a year but you need to keep these clean. Mold grows quickly near the base.

Suncast 50 gal Outdoor Resin Deck Storage Box with Seat, Java Brown https://www.walmart.com/ip/27653125 I see this one for $76. Interesting about preventing mold… I wonder how I can protect the concrete..

I wouldn't worry about the concrete for some reason these attract mold. Make sure you clean it with soap once or twice a season or spray it with hose with each rain passing or Everytime you cut the grass and clippings end up on it, in addition to leaves in the fall, area dependant

Is it water tight?
Rain will pool on the seat, which wears it down more quickly then it should, but I've had a few of these. They can protect against things getting drenched, but it's a plastic box, not a waterproof solution. Don't use it to protect something valuable from water.

Of course. I just thought it'd be a better solution then what we have to hold our towels for the pool. Wasn't sure if rain water would sneak in

two pieces of advice which I think helped achieve this
1. if possible have this sit on a couple of bricks
2. Get caulk and caulk all the inside seems
I use the large one for everything from hoses to outdoor garden tools, this smaller one holds kids outside toys
