Any reason to get the regular iPad over the iPad Air (beside price)? I would only use it for travel and to stream on it so I want portability but also a good battery life.
(I thought about the mini but it seems like a slightly larger iphone which seems a bit redundant if my intention is to watch movies/shows primarily)

Probably none. 9th gen base iPad has 12mp front camera + "center stage" vs 8mp on Air, but I doubt anyone cares -- as long as it is better than 720p (1.2mp) it's good enough for most people.

Yeah I'm definitely not too strict on the camera because... well we have our phones for better pictures anyways. Mainly looking at the display, screen size, portability, and battery life. I'm assuming that the air is better than the regular ipad on all of these?

Moreover, the Air is more than a year old now. No new Air was released this year.
