A little more expensive than the Solo deal, but these look a lot nicer and seem to be a better product overall. OP, you probably should have put "fire pit" in the title; that's why your thread doesn't come up in a search for "fire pit"

It's almost 40% more expensive considering the solo fb sale.

Not really - they're quite different. The Solos are great if you move your fire pit like I do, so I keep it in the garage and out of the elements most of the time. The Breeos are monsters and not portable, but they don't need to be. My Solo is awesome and well worth the price. My buddy's Breeo is also awesome and worth the price, but the Breeos are more expensive. They're made about 30 miles from me, in Lancaster, PA.

I'm thinking about getting one of these. The big one's too expensive tho, so 24 inch it will have to be. Anyone recommend which rim to get? Does the searplate kind of suck when only the fire matters?

I have the sear rim on the 24 inch. It gives me the option to use it or not. It's very hot as expected.

Personally, I'd rather set up a tripod grate of my own choosing if I want to cook. And the side of your food closer to the flames cooks much faster than the other side on the sear plate. I prefer more consistent cooking.
To each his own. My friend has the sear rim and likes it.
