I can't compare it to Canadian Goose as I don't have a parka from them. I do own this jacket, as well as the Superior Parka from EB. I would guess that you will find this jacket on the cool side if you are looking for a very warm jacket. If you want to stick with Eddie Bauer, like others have mentioned, the Superior Parka's exterior blocks the wind much better, is a warmer parka, and handles snow and sleet better. It will cost you more, though can also be found for half off.

I mean, Canada Goose makes superior jackets…but at a massively higher price. This for 100 bucks vs Canada Goose is no brainer. I live in Chicago and this with a sweater on the coldest of days is all I need. 20 degrees and up…a t shirt under is fine….
