This model has manual release valve on the lid, not a prob if you are capable of remembering to close it before you start cooking. There's no spare gasket, and no trivet. I found a better sturdier larger trivet on ebay and Amazon. Search "stainless handle trivet steamer rack" and look for one similar to IPs and 19 or 20 cm diameter. It's large enough to let a 7" springform pan sit level. Bigger than what IP ships with 8qt. Also fits 6qt. Should cost $4-$8 shipped. I bought mine from China on ebay for lowest price.
I see no reason why this is an inferior deal for an 8qt IP. It's a Duo, and lacks sous vide. Will do almost everything else you'd need, though.
