light amount of gentle laundry detergent and cold water....never had an issue for any of my pads and towels.

I like griots but never been able to justify this.

If you use sealants, or ceramic-infused products, getting those products out of the foam pads can be a real bear. I've been using this stuff for about 3 years on my microfiber and foam pads, you don't know the difference it makes until you have them side-by-side. I've been detailing for almost 30 years now, and I wish I'd had some of this stuff a decade ago!

For $4 it's a no-brainer. I picked up a few more to top off my gallon jug, and have some extra.

Thanks! Been eyeing the chemical guys microfiber wash, but I like Giots better (had no idea they made this though), and this is cheaper!

I have the worst time with windows. Could it be the laundry detergent the microfiber cloth gets washed in? We do not use fabric softener...

I use Costco's Tide alternative, and it works well, but I noticed some towels are getting dark. Have been thinking of trying one of these, got one. Thanks

Before, I typically used Kirkland Signature bulk yellow microfibers for everything with minimal separation (i.e. one wash pile was for wheels, other pile was everything else including rinseless wash, detail spray, wax spray, drying etc.). I noticed over time, even with washing on hottest water setting (with a dye/scentless detergent) and machine drying on the lowest setting, that the towels that I used for drying would pick up much less water, leave water streaks after a single pass, and have to be wrung out more often around the time that I started adding ceramic/SiO2 sprays and detailers into the mix.

I thought this item was useless as well but gave it a try when it was on clearance for $8 (msrp at every other retailer was still around $15, so I figured what the hey). Seems to have made a difference with those towels that absorbed much less water than previously and revived them. Nowadays, I also separate my towels into more wash-type batches and have a batch specifically for ceramic/SiO2 used towels.

I just want to put my two cents in here and I swear this isn't a plug for anything specifically. I've detailed cars for many years professionally and have never really found a magic bullet for windows and soils for surfaces until my wife started using Norwex cloths. All I use is water and my windows have never been cleaner and most of my messes are dealt with with the cloths. Wet Norwex cloth followed by a dry window cloth is the best window cleaner I've ever used!
Also, when they get dirty after a while you boils them with a stripping powder and it resets them to like new! Water is super nasty.
That's all I wanted to add.

A friend of ours is a Norwex "seller". She gifted me one of their dust mits which I like using on the interior. Thanks for the window tip! I may pick up some more of their towels
