Fantastic deal! Normally a 600 set is $229 and Twinkly Music is $39. I bought this set last week. I highly recommend.
Bought it too. Setup is pretty straightforward albeit Downloading extra pattern is clunky and slow
I like the physical black color of these lights vs the dark green of the costco versions. They are both Gen II versions and identical otherwise.
Make sure to update these to the latest firmware for HomeKit support, although don't expect much. Only supports on/off and basic solid colors
The music dongle is absolutely ****ing useless. It's a royal POS. Read the Amazon reviews and you'll notice that you cannot change the effect types. They're locked to a few which means you have to keep switching via phone every time you want a new effect type.
In addition the dongle doesn't even work that well.
The Costco dark-green colored wire for $160 (sold out very early) is a much better deal IMO. Wish it would come back in stock.
EDIT: Another thing I should mention. There is a brightness setting in the app for the Twinkly's but to my shock it takes 26-29watts no matter whether you change the brightness to 1% or 100%. WTF Twinkly? What a stupid design and waste of electricity.
