I've been happy with this one. Returned the TSR-700 and went with this. Much better experience so far.

FYI, I recently got this about a month ago. Mine occasionally drops connection to speakers. Occurs about once a week. Tried different speaker wires and HDMI. Still occurs. Prob just my sample, but just putting it out there. Been waiting for it to come back in stock for an exchange.

How does this compare to Onkyo TX-NR6050 also available at Costco?

I have this avr, had just purchased a 750 online when the 760 showed up in store, returned and got the 760. So far it's got great features, sound and love the heos app. I wish it had its own chromecast as usually I end up casting to an attached chromecast so I can stream to multiple rooms.

Unless they've changed, every onkyo I've had has run very hot. They work fine, just needs more cooling due to less efficient amplifiers.

The Onkyo is more powerful, has two HDMI outs and also additional B speaker outs. I'm leaning towards the Onkyo, but hoping for a BF or Cyber Monday deal on it.

Yeah I went with the Onyko, more power, and the two HDMI outs is a nice feature.

Good call. Also looking at the Onkyo. With resale prices, I could probably sell my 4 year old Sony STR-1080DN for $300 or so and upgrade to HDMI 2.1 and just newer hardware.

Looks like the Onkyo has more features, specifically with the dual zone capabilities it has leveraging 2 HDMI outputs to watch the same or different content in two different rooms.

The Denon only has one HDMI output.

Few other differences but that was the biggest I noticed.

A positive for the Denon is it uses Audyssey for room correction, which is highly regarded. Onkyo uses AccuEQ.

I don't see Sirius XM on this unit. Looking to upgrade my AVR-S710W for some new features. So I'll pass.

Any chance it (or the speakers) has a factory-default "Standby Mode" enabled or something of that nature? I had the same issue with my JBL monitors, audio cuts out randomly a couple times per week, stupid thing has to be disabled by one of those on/off/dial-turning/jack-inserting combinations like you're reprogramming your car's keyless entry. Worth a look.

Bought it the first go around. Less power than my sony but had the important 2.1 ports. It has 3 of them and 3 2.0 ports.

Plugged my ps5, series x, and PC and all works 4k 120hz. Much better plugging and unplugging to my TV's single 2.1 hdmi port.
